Our Why
We started Blossom & Branch for two main reasons. First, to offer a bit of relief to families who spend so much of their lives caring for, and often worrying about, their children with special needs. We wanted to create a space that could be both a helping hand and a place to find resources and support.
Second, we wanted to back the teacher’s aides; the ones who truly care about working with special needs kids in classrooms everyday but are often forced to step away because the pay just doesn’t cut it. By connecting these aides with families, we hope the families get dependable, experienced support, and the aides can earn enough to keep going in a field they love.
Logan Mitchell is a passionate and faith-driven educator dedicated to supporting families. Growing up in Richardson, Texas, he found immense joy in working with special education programs at his schools. He had the privilege of assisting students on field trips and serving as a peer helper at Berkner High School.
After a few detours, Logan returned to this fulfilling field and is now in his fifth year as a Special Education employee for the Richardson Independent School District, currently supporting district wide as a Registered Behavior Technician. While his work as an educator is incredibly rewarding, he has observed a gap between schools and homes.
Blossom and Branch is Logan's endeavor to bridge that gap and provide families with the support and resources they need to navigate everyday challenges. He believes in fostering strong connections and empowering families to thrive
Darius Moss
Darius grew up in a household dedicated to caregiving and service. His father, a social worker, served communities throughout Dallas County and DISD, while his mother devoted her career to nursing. These early influences shaped Darius’s passion for supporting the well-being of others, a value that inspires all his work.
With nearly a decade of experience in education, Darius has worked across multiple areas, including Special Education and technical support, gaining a well-rounded understanding of the challenges families face.
Through Blossom and Branch, his mission is to empower families and connect them to vital resources in a way that is simple, effective, and highly accessible.
